Linda (Smith) Shelley Obituary

Linda Carol (Smith) Shelley, a resident of Grimes, died Thursday, December 27, 2018, in her home. She was 67 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, December 30, 2018, in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Thomas Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford, Alabama.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Sunday, one hour before the service in the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.

Linda Carol (Smith) Shelley was born and reared in Dothan and was a 1969 graduate of Dothan High School. She was retired, serving SpectraCare Health Systems in administration for nearly 40 years.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Howell Smith and Ruth (Watkins) Simpler.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Anna Shelley, Dothan; a brother, Philip Smith (Doris), Dothan; a special friend, Danny Kennedy, Dothan; several aunts, cousins and nieces.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Watkins, Kevin Keffer, Charles Church, Michael Roland, Keith Dovre, Philip Tidwell, and John Redick.
