Lois Mae (Muse) Christensen

Lois Mae (Muse) Christensen, age 91,went to her heavenly home on Monday evening, January 27, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born October 29, 1928, in Dorset, Ohio, to Theodore R and Carrie Mae Hoplight Muse and grew up in Richmond, Ohio.

She married Robert C. Christensen on October 18, 1948, and moved to Dothan, AL. She retired from Bell South Telephone Company and Eye Center South.

Lois was a woman of deep faith and lived it daily. She was a long-time member of Lafayette Street United Methodist Church which later became Greystone United Methodist Church in Dothan.

She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionly.

She is survived by a daughter, Darla Speigner of Malone, Fl, a son Darryl (Kathie) Christensen of Greenwood, FL; a grandson, Chris (Holly) Speigner, of Milton, FL; a granddaughter, Autumn (Charles) Sakenas of Kill Devils Hill, NC; great-grandchildren, Harbor, Hazel, and one-on-the-way; two sisters, Wanda (Frank) Freidel of Willoughy, OH, and Jane Laseter of Montgomery, AL; a sister-in-law, Janet Lipps of Jefferson, OH; several nieces and nephews, and her special pug dog, Bentley, aka Big Dog.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert in 1980, an infant daughter Darlene, in 1962, a son Dennis, in 1985, two brothers, Elwood Muse and Duane Muse and three brothers-in-laws, William Martin, Tom Laseter, and Larry Lipps.

Services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Greystone United Methodist Church at 12 noon, with a calling hour at 11. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, AL, following the service.
