Martha Jo (Johnson) Buie

Mrs. Martha Jo Buie, age 87, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Born December 24, 1935 in Dothan to the late Lamar Johnson and Ruby Lee Trammell Johnson, Martha was a graduate of Rehobeth High School. A bowler in her younger days, “Mockie” as she was affectionately known by her family, loved to shop.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Edward Buie; her sister, Jane Haralson; and her brother, Harold Trammell.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Robbins (Daniel), of Dothan; her brother, Johnny Johnson; her nieces, Kim Clark (Neil) of Dothan, Michele Robbins, of Alpharetta, GA, and Sharon Cobb (David), of Greenwood, SC; her brother-in-law, Bill Haralson, of Greenwood, SC; several great-nieces and great-nephews and a great-great-nephew.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, May 15, 2023 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2 PM, Monday, May 15, 2023, prior to the service.
