Martha Helen Woodham

Martha Helen Woodham, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 8, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1944, in Taylor, Alabama.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Cotton, special friends and extended family, Donna Edberg, Michael Herbst (Leonshina), and David Herbst. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearlie Kornegay, and her daughter, Carla Mann.

 A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

Martha had a deep love for her canine companion, Gizzy, who brought her immense joy and companionship. She had a zest for life that was evident in her love for traveling. She often embarked on adventures with her dear friend, Donna Edberg, exploring new places and making lasting memories. Their companionship brought her immense joy and comfort, and their shared experiences created a tapestry of love and friendship that will endure.

Martha's life was a testament to her loving and spirited nature. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering positivity.
