Mary (Shirey) Carmichael

Mrs. Mary Shirey Carmichael, age 76, of Ashford, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Born September 22, 1946 in Houston County, Alabama to the late John W. Shirey and Velma Devane Shirey, Mary attended Grandview Baptist Church. She enjoyed cross stitching and roller skating when she was younger. She enjoyed anything related to eagles and she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Joel E. Carmichael; her daughter, Staci M. Carmichael; her grandchildren, Toree and Shayna; her great-grandchildren, Greyson and Isaiah; her brother-in-law, Larry (Nancy) Carmichael; nephews, Chad, Chris, Scott, Todd, Tony, and Russell; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Varnum officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
