Mary Jewel Dempsey Whitehead

 Mary Jewel Dempsey Whitehead, age 89 of Dothan passed away Monday, April 17, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Dewain Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wiregrass Food Bank or to Samaritan’s Purse.

She is preceded in death by 3 great-grandsons.

She is survived by her son Ronald Bruce Whitehead, daughter Julia Whitehead Culbreth (Howard), grandsons Ronald Bruce Whitehead, Jr. (Toni), Reagan Joseph Whitehead (Hannah), William Culbreth and 2 great-sons Hardy and Mason.
