Metha Jo Williams

Metha Jo Williams of Dothan passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the age of 94.

Graveside Service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ward Wilson Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Metha was born on March 1, 1928, in Houston County, Alabama to the late Joe Pippin and Maude Gilley Pippin. She was a true southern lady exemplifying traditional values in running her household. Metha spent many years as a member of Union Hill Baptist Church until she was unable to attend. She enjoyed going out to eat, spending time with family, cooking southern dishes, and watching television.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Williams; daughter-in-law, Sondra Free; and 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Survivors include her son, Terry Free; grandchildren, Greg Free (Kellie), Brandon Free (Rebecca), Tony Free, Kelli Stanley (Terry), Justin Free, and Cody Ray; great-grandchildren, Rachel Free, Jordan Free, Ashlyn Kelly, and Dakota Free; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
