Mildred Estelle (Richards) Bennett

Mildred Estelle Bennett, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2019. She was born to the late Howard Richards and Effie Mae Richards (Birge) in Dale County.

Funeral Service will take place 2 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. There will be no public visitation.

Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening as a hobby

Preceded in death by her husband: James Bennett and son: Gordon Bennett

Survivors include her son: Gary Bennett; daughters: Kathy Bennett-Smith, and Sherry (Jim) Delair; sisters: Bernice Caldwell, Martha Crine, and Joyce (Billy) Benton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of loving family members.

No flowers accepted, in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mildred’s name or to the church that meets at Westside Terrance: 1603 Montcliff Drive Dothan, Al. 36303
