Morris Holloway Obituary

Louie Morris Holloway, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Westside Terrace. He was 87.

Funeral services for Mr. Holloway will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 2:30 PM at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:25 PM at the church prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1231 Fortner St, Dothan, AL 36301.

Morris was born July 2, 1938 in Fadette, Alabama to the late Boss and Ruby Collins Holloway. He began his career in Sales at Sears and Saben Appliance before opening Brian Holloway Carpet. He and his wife, Joyce joined Ridgecrest Baptist in 1962 and he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir and was on several committees through the years. Morris enjoyed fishing and hunting in his early years and later was fond of yardwork and his vegetable garden. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather and friend.

Morris is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Holloway; sister, Monette Mulkey and two brothers, Walter and Eugene Holloway.

Survivors include his sons, Brian and Michelle Holloway, Neil and Tiffany Holloway; grandchildren, Lauren Holloway Fisher (Jimmy), Lindsay Holloway Wells (Cade) and Landon Holloway; great grandchildren, Harrison, Mary Collins and Huntleigh.
