Patricia Louise Dorman

Mrs. Patricia Louise Dorman, age 81, of Dothan, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Born May 28, 1941 in Mobile, Alabama, Patricia was a long time member of Grandview Baptist Church. Known as “Aunt Pat” or “Nannie”, Patricia helped raise many children in her home based day care.

Patricia is preceded in death by her mother, Clara Mahoney Philyaw and step-father, Kaleel “Buck” Philyaw; her brother, Jack Wild; her mother-in-law, Elsie Dorman and sister-in-law, Lois Ackerman.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Dorman; her daughters, Christi Williams (Randy) and Carla Waller (Mike); her grandchildren, Elysse Doswell (Russell), Christopher Williams, Tanner Waller, Jared Waller, Randall Williams (Brooke) and Terri Wheeler (Noel); her great-grandchildren, Luke, Jude, Alaina, Collin, Noah, Ellie, Brennan, Grayson, Layton, and Evie; lifelong friends, Camella Veazey and her daughter, Melanie Mills; her brother-in-law, Dennis Ackerman; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Reverend Mike Grimes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2400 Forrester Road, Dothan, AL  36301.
