Robert Wayne Tye, Jr.

Robert Wayne Tye, Jr., age 34, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Born January 28, 1988 in Dothan, Alabama to Dorothy Suggs Tye and the late Robert Wayne Tye, Sr., Wayne enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and could tell you where many fishing holes in the area were as well as the size of the fish.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Tye, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Suggs Tye; his brother, Josh Tye (Carrie); his maternal grandparents, Edward Suggs (Mary); his uncle, Danny Tye; his nephews, Copper Tye and Cason Tye; special cousins, Angel Carter, Crystal Brown, Clifton Crapps, Vandi Culp, Lee Tye, and Sherry Chisholm; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Adoniram Baptist Church in Abbeville with Reverend Ottis Derrah officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, prior to the service at the church.
