Rodney Paul Burgans, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at his home. He was 48.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Rodney was born on April 20, 1976, in Marianna, Florida. Rodney was a very hard worker who had many trades. He loved to weld, fly airplanes, and farm. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, traveling, cheering on his Auburn Tigers in the fall “War Eagle”, and going to the mountains. Rodney enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The love of his life was his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother who raised him, Montine Ingram.
Left to cherish his memories are his two children, Christian Burgans (Cassie), and McKayla Buchanan (Travis); his father, Danny Burgans (Kathy); a sister, Lana Moring (Greg); five grandchildren, Keegan Buchanan, Addison Burgans, Easton Buchanan, Brantley Burgans, Grayson Burgans, and on the way, Carson Buchanan; along with one nephew, David Moring and many friends.
