Sam Messick

Mr. Sam Messick of Dothan passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the age of 73.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Troy West and Tim Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday, one hour prior to the service.

Sam was born June 23, 1949 to the late Isaac Jackson Messick and Vergie Mae Messick.

He was a member of Friendship Assembly of God Church for several years.

Along with his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Hartsfield.

He is survived by his wife Vickie Messick of Birmingham, daughter Nicole Messick of Dothan, sons Lee Messick (Krystal) of Dothan, Adam Messick (Julie) of Dothan, grandchildren Lane Messick, Keaton Messick, Madison Messick, Noah Messick, Ann Kathryn Hartsfield, Reed Hartsfield, Will Hartsfield, special niece Kimberly Jones (Bucket), and several nieces and nephews.

A big Thank You to my daughter-in-law Krystal for being by my side through this entire situation.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Hyatt, Steven Hyatt, Brandon Anderson, Braxton Anderson, Tony Turvin, Anthony Carpenter, Phil Hobbs and Clint Barley.
