Sammie Lee Jackson, Sr., a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Graceville Health Center in Graceville, Florida. He was 89.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 30, 2024 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Brother Eddie Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born January 1, 1935 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Garfield and Lishie Stinson Acres. He worked as a concrete finisher for 60 years owning Wiregrass Cement Finishers.
Mr. Jackson was a servant of Jehovah for 71 years and attended Wiregrass Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness on Cottonwood Road. He was known throughout all congregations for working on building Kingdom Halls and studying the Bible with many people.
Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his wife, Ludie B. Jackson; four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his children, Marguerita Register (Wade) and Sammie Lee Jackson, Jr. (Dorothy); grandchildren, Eric K. Register, Samantha Jackson and Miracle Johnson; great grandchildren, Brandon Register, Rayvin Jackson, Mariah and Major Farrier.
