Sharon Ann (Linkenauger) Carroll

Mrs. Sharon Ann Linkenauger Carroll passed away peacefully in her sleep following an extended illness at her home on May 2, 2023. She was 76.

Sharon was born on April 14, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC to Sybil Sadie (Parrot) and William Robert Linkenauger.

Sharon spent her adult life doing what she loved; being a wife, a mother and Nannie to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 48 years, Robert Carroll (Dothan, AL);  her children, Carolyn Schildgen (Headland, Al), Billy Carroll (Dothan, Al), Teenie Carroll, Sean (Affan) (Dothan, Al); her grandchildren, Ryan Schildgen, Mack (Lili) Carroll, and Reagan Brewer (Dothan, Al); her great-grandchildren, Beau Carroll and Ashley Carroll; her sister, Susie Truslow (Salisbury, NC); and a host of other relatives to include brother/sister-in-law(s), nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Sybil and William Linkenauger, and a brother-in-law, Pete Truslow.

Her family would like to express gratitude to Dr. McAllister, Dr. Patel, the physicians and nurses of Flowers Hospital, Wesley Manor rehab facility, Gentiva Hospice, and Ward-Wilson Funeral Home for their care and support for Sharon’s care and support during her cancer journey.

A gathering is scheduled at the home of Lee and Cindy Roberts in Dothan, Al on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm for those that would like to attend.
