Mr. Thornton Roosevelt Moody, age 75, of Newton, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021.
Thornton was born September 2, 1946 in Jackson County, Florida to the late Thornton Roosevelt Moody and Ethel Allday Moody. He enjoyed working in the yard and fishing and was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He retired after working 17 years for Keebler and 17 years for Nabisco as a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Gelzer, Clayton Blackmon, Dwight Moody, Mancil Moody, and Albert Blackmon.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Moody; his sons, Keith Richardson (Beth) and Chris Moody; his daughters, Tamara Moody and Natalie Moody; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his fur babies, Coco and Foxy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend David Beaty officiating.
