Tim McCorkel

Mr. Tim McCorkel, age 85, of Dothan passed away Monday, January 2, 2022.

A Celebrationof Life service will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Kerry Kizer and Reverend Lomax Lunford officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P. Friday, one hour prior to the service. Donation may be made to Abundant Life Assembly of God Church.

Mr. McCorkel was born February 25, 1937 to the late Robert Henry McCorkel and Edna Mae Godwin. He was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He cared for all those around him with love and a joke. He was a person one could call and he would be there with a helping hand to help anybody.

Along with his parents, Mr. McCorkel is preceded in death by two sisters Edna and Sue, and four brothers Billy, Bobby, Jeff and Ron.

He is survived by his wife Melba McCorkel of Dothan, daughter Eulene Whitaker (Dale) of Niceville, Fl, son Ken McCorkel (Jessica) of Cowarts, Al, sister Mabel Graham of Largo, Fl brothers Eddie McCorkel (Sandy) of Live Oak, Fl, Donald McCorkel (Sue) of Ashford, grandchildren Carman Whitaker (Jessica), Sydney Wolford (Marcus), Kade, Owen, Anna, Evan, great-grandchildren Katarina Whitaker, Niklaus Whitaker and Jackson Wolford.

Pallbearers will be Kade McCorkel, Owen Simmons, Chris McCorkel, Jason, Shawn, and Carman Whitaker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Simmons and Marcus Wolford.
