Vernia Doris Bass

Mrs. Vernia Doris Bass of Dothan passed away Saturday, May 22,2021 at the age of 95.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Children’s Department at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church or to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.

Mrs. Bass is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel O. Brown and Mary Lena Kite Brown, husband, Dudley Bass, one sister, and six brothers.

Survivors include daughter, Sarah Childree (Ronnie), grandchildren, Sharon Boyett (Danny), David Childree (Tamela), great-grandchilden, Jessica Myers (Zo) Collins, Kaylee Myers David Myers (Heather), Tim Myers (Kristin), Wesley Grubbs (Shealee), Anna Creel, Jerrad Creel, eleven great-great-grandchildren, sister, Myra Faye Pippin, and several nieces and nephews.
