Virginia Carolyn Clark, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, in Columbia, Alabama. Born on December 28, 1936, in North Carolina, Carolyn's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and joy that touched everyone she knew.

Carolyn was the cherished daughter of the late Aaron Moore and Nellie Louzinn Simmons Moore. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Raymond Paul Clark, and a loving mother to her sons, the late Raymond Derrick Clark and Bruce Lynn Clark, and her daughter, Dianne Clark. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts. Carolyn was also a beloved sister to Betty Yarborough and Katherine Moore, and a treasured friend to Sharon Danford, whose companionship brought her immense comfort and happiness.

Throughout her life, Carolyn's hands were rarely still, as she found joy and purpose in the art of quilting, creating beautiful pieces that were as much a comfort to others as they were a testament to her skill and patience. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the meticulous care she took of her flower beds, where daylilies and azaleas bloomed under her attentive eye. Carolyn's passion for farming and gardening was more than a hobby; it was a connection to the earth and to the cycles of life that she revered.

Carolyn's love for her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She nurtured her children and grandchildren with the same love and care she gave to her plants and quilts. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, January 16, 2026 from Memory Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Aleah Dixon officiating.
