Wayne Mitchell Johnson

Mr. Wayne Mitchell Johnson of Dothan passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was 61.

Graveside services will be held at 12 P.M. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Willie Bonds officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Wayne was born on May 9, 1956 to John Allen Johnson and the late Mary Alice Clark and on February 4, 2018 the Lord called him home to be at rest. At an early age he accepted Christ and joined the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Ashford, Al. Wayne completed his high school education at Ashford High School, and later joined the United States Marine Corps.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Clark, maternal grandparents, H.E. and Gladys Clark, paternal grandparents, Fred Johnson Sr., and Savanna Johnson, stepbrother, Marion Morris, and a special Aunt, Rosa Clark. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 31 years, Louise Johnson of Dothan, AL, father, John Allen Johnson (Minnie), step-parent, Eunice Johnson, son, Johnny Blackmon, sister, Charnette  Bogar, and step-sister, Sharon Booker (Ben), brothers, John Johnson, Wendell Smith (Debbie), Michael Johnson, Allen Reeves (Martha), Alexander Johnson (Channie), and Todd Johnson, grandchildren, Jakayla Carroll, and Josalyn Carroll, sister-in-law, Darlene Cottingham, brother-in-law, Joe Blackmon, and aunt, Mabel Little, and special friends, Heney Dennis, Wayne Kelly, Willie Charles, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
