Mr. William G. Hause (Bill) passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Southeast Health.
He was born August 5, 1921 to Eloise and George Hause of Hartford, Alabama. In WWII, he served in the Army Air Corp. After the war Bill returned to the University of Alabama and earned his Air Force commission, BS, and JD degrees. He moved to Dothan and practiced law for over 40 years. He served in the US Air Force / Air National Guard over 30 years and retired as a Lt. Colonel. His legal carrier included: the Hardwick, Hause, and Segrest Law Firm, Dothan City Attorney, City Judge, and the Economic Development Board to bring industry and jobs to the area.
He served the community as a member and supporter of many organizations including: member of the First United Methodist Church, Shriners, Masons, Crippled Children Clinic, Wiregrass Reading Clinic, Houston County Fair Board, and The American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Lawson Hause; his father, George Hause; his mother, Eloise Hardwick Hause; his daughter, Paula Hause Pilcher; and his wife, Jimmy Howell Hause.
Survivors include many friends and family members including three children, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and special companion, Anne Dawson.
His Celebration of Life service is postponed at this time due to Covid.
