Willie Frances (Brogdon) Ford

Mrs. Willie Frances Brogdon Ford of Headland passed away August 1, 2022, at the age of 85.

Willie was born on April 28, 1937, to the late Sidney Brogdon and Willie Pearce Brogdon in Madrid, Alabama. She spent over 30 years as a truck driver, vitally hauling around the United States. In her younger years, Willie owned and operated her own business. When Willie was not spending time with her family, she enjoyed baking cakes and watching old tv shows.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie O. McKenzie; sons, Dallas Hamilton and Raymond Hamilton; sister, Eleanor Ann Johnson; brother, Buford Brogdon; grandson, Sean Hamilton; and granddaughter, Theresa Sullivan.

Survivors include husband, Lester Ford; sons, Roger Hamilton (Pat), Sidney Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton (Jeannie), and Bill McKenzie (Jennifer); daughters, Janet Walden (Randy), Sheila Vaughn, and Patsy Granberry; brothers, Don Brogdon and Duke Brogdon (Sherry); sister, Carolyn Peterman; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on August 5, 2022, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Kenton Hamilton officiating. Burial will take place at Madrid City Cemetery immediately following the service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
